While we are on this subject does anyone know what Jackie Nose is up to ? He was once the acting boss and just seems to have vanished ? Is he still alive ?

Other then getting two behind his ear , that has to be the most significant down grade ever , acting boss down to solider.

Nay, Frank Costello getting downgraded from official boss to soldier was the most significant down grade ever.

Frank kind of more or less bowed out gracefully I think. Was able to keep his wealth and influence. Surely Frank was not hanging out at nightly Bingo .

It's not everyday a boss gets demoted by an underling. He had to give up his major rackets and was stripped of all influence but Frank probably didn't spend his nights hanging out at nightly Bingo.

also you think the corozzo brothers made there bones. they came up under that capo fat andy and i read tony lee g. they were like the other queens crew aside from faticos gotti crew. but gotti had a few informants in his crew so weve found out alot about them. Nicky always was a killer. It was Nicky's crew who took out those two Bonnie & Clydes on very short notice, I'm talking a quick phone call, hit em right now.

I agree. IIRC, Frank Costello was a free man when he died. Vito Genovese died in a federal prison. So what did Vito really win?

Dom Pizzonia whacked out Bonnie and Clyde Was he with Nicky's crew? Must have been. The story I remember reading somewhere, is the two got spotted and followed, as they were driving towards Nicky's turf, a phone call was made to Nicky and Nicky scrambled a hit team to intercept the two.

Dom was a Queens guy Nicky and Jo-Jo are from Brooklyn: Looks like he and One Arm Carried out the hit.
Dominick Pizzonia From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Jump to: navigation, search Dominick "Skinny Dom" Pizzonia (born November 19, 1941) is a New York mobster and captain with the Gambino crime family who was a hitman and loanshark. Pizzonia allegedly participated in several high-profile murders.
Early life and rise[edit]
Born in the Ozone Park section of Queens, Pizzonia began working for the Gambino family as a crew member for then caporegime John Gotti. He was called "Skinny Dom" to distinguish himself from Gambino mobster Dominick "Fat Dom" Borghese.
On December 16, 1985, Pizzonia participated in the assassinations of Gambino boss Paul Castellano and underboss Thomas Bilotti outside a Manhattan steakhouse. After Castellano's murder, Gotti took over as family boss.
In June 1988, Pizzonia allegedly murdered mobster Frank Boccia at the family's request. The Gambinos ordered Boccia's murder because he had punched his mother-in-law, the wife of imprisoned mobster Anthony Ruggiano. Pizzonia and Gambino associate Alfred Congiglio lured Boccia to a social club, killed him, took his body on a boat, and dumped the body into the ocean off New York City. Boccia's body was never recovered. [1] [2]
On December 24, 1988, as a reward for the Castellano and Boccia murders, the Gambinos allowed Pizzonia to become a made man, or full member, in the family.[1] In 1992, Pizzonia participated in the murder of Thomas Uva and his wife Rosemarie. Previously that year, the Uvas had robbed several social clubs belonging to the Gambino, Bonanno, and Colombo crime families
. Pizzonia was especially enraged by the Uvas because they twice robbed Gotti's Bergin Hunt and Fish Club in Ozone Park, which Pizzonia managed.[3] On December 24, 1992, Pizzonia and mobster Ronnie Trucchio located the Uvas. The couple was sitting in their car at a traffic light in Ozone Park when Pizzonia and Trucchio shot and killed both of them.
In 1995, Pizzonia became the head of a Gambino bookmaking operation and later replaced Peter Gotti as capo.
