That was one of the worse movies ever, stacy keach as Neil? I like the way he says Ya gotta get permission from 5 Burroughs than names em, christ. Gotti was the worst thing that happened to that borgata. I do know one thing, Whenever a piece of work is done in the life the victim's name or the act is NEVER to be mentioned again. Truth is Gotti was a precarious leader, he was scared shitless of Chin and he had a bunch of people in his own borgata that despised him I know this for fact. He needed to talk about those murders to reinforce his mojo like Trump retelling the night he was elected. Suck movie about a lopsided book written by jr who got his brain s from his uncle peter.

Agreed. Obviously the gottis were heavily involved so we already knew it was fiction. But the movie was just bad regardless. Acting was poor,so was editing and technical things. Also I think people are tired of that story.

Worst mob movie ever. Thank God I saw it for free on Amazon Prime otherwise I would have been pissed for spending my money and wasting my time. I actually couldn't finish it and had to turn it off. iI was so full of Gotti quotes and the acting by Travolta and the others was simply terrible.. The original movie with Armand Assante was so much better. The casting of Gotti's crew was laughable. Why would the Gotti's allow this movie to even be released?
Started watching this. I dont understand what time period its set in half the time. Also some of the actors seem to drop whatever accent they are attempting to do.
I finally got around to watching Gotti and it is not the greatest but had some redeeming qualities.
I understand that if a viewer is unfamiliar with the story of John Gotti it would be very difficult to follow since the film jumped from time period to time period with out much connection between scenes.
It is obviously told from the perspective of Junior Gotti - based in part on his book. In a way it successfully tells the story as a loving tribute from son to father. Unfortunately that father is John Gotti which means most of the interesting parts and any new information doesn't make it on screen.
The cast is all over the place too. Some like Travolta wear makeup to resemble their real life counterparts and others are not even close. Junior must have had a hand in casting the actor who played him.
Overall it contains some good scenes but these are so poorly presented that it makes the movie difficult to watch and understand. Is it the worst movie ever? Far from it. Could it have been better? Yes and maybe someday someone will make a definitive version of the story.
For some reason I tried to get through this movie again without success. Its terrible, inaccurate, and a fluff piece. However there was one interesting thing I didnt notice the first time. In the opening credits where they are showing footage and home videos. They show Angel Gottis wedding in 1983 a lot. In one brief clip they show gotti walking with Neil to introduce him to someone. I believe this is the only footage of them together. Obviously ive seen plenty of pictures and I have surveillance in 1979 and the 80s but they arent in the same footage. Other than that the movie was trash lol

It is a shoe in for the Joseph Goebbels Award.

Yeah technically it was crap as well as the acting. Obviously the gottis were heavily involved which I knew meant it being inaccurate and a fluff piece. The only thing I took from it was the brief footage of Neil and Gotti which I havent seen before
