Specifically the gang wars between Black Disciples and Gangster Disciples around Woodlawn, Washington Park, Englewood (etc) on the South side. Made known in the Chicago media and rap scene. It’s 2018, and the bodies keep dropping. Is the so-called “street life†in areas of Chicago so out of control, that politicians and law enforcement can’t do much? It’s like a religion, this gang banging mentality...

Not so much as a religion as reoccurring altercations with each generation along with criminal activities and socializing themes.

Few people seem to care because all the constant shooting is happening in low-income, black communities. But significant human life is being lost. These can only be described as war zones. Many people care about it. All the mainstream media attention haven't come out of Chicago's butthole about it. Plus other people with their conspiracies nonsense. There's also not enough attention in the Hispanic communities with high gang violence as well. It's mainly the same cliques attacking each other over and over so they received the whale sized portion of the violence along with some innocents in between them.

You may or may not be familiar with this one, but your name is “cookcountyâ€: this war in particular has attracted a lot of notoriety over the years. The BD’s west of King Drive, and mostly GD’s on the other side in Woodlawn. I won’t say I’ve read the entire block of text summarizing the beef, because the “who killed who†is enough. But I find it morbidly fascinating that people around the country, and even world, follow this whole spectacle and have produced a summary / analysis. A lot of the gang banging does take place over the internet, for all to see. It does seem silly, but they are not playing around. The whole thing is depressing, demonic really...

The only reason people know who allegedly shot who is because of the internet. That shit is goofy as hell and the police allow the shit because they know its goofy as hell. I've actually witnessed pigs laugh at these new cats and call them jokes but they have guns and kill each other after doing drugs so u can't say shit to them

You do realized that there's a 20+ page of who killed who in Canada's mob war? That's the similarities in both people on the outside looking in to understand when it started and people who are intrigued by the ongoing drama. Any major city and small ones as well with a constant gun violence can be trace back to the same individuals/groups locked in a vendetta cycle. It takes time to keep tabs on the events and you could practically draw a web to every individual.
