And has been for a while, it was funny that the mob experts had him being a good boy and they were / are soooo far off. Serp, it seems like that info you posted about Mikey Lance has spread pretty quick! It looks like whoever runs a certain mob website reads this forum - it just so happens that right after you posted that the top story on their website is about George Borgesi being the new acting boss in Philly. Serp you seem to have a good grasp on the Philly scene. And this is sort of off topic but I wanted to know if you've ever heard anything in passing on this. In Rhode Island there's a south Philly guy who owns a restaurant in Westerly,RI. I'm friendly with him and like every other neighborhood guy no matter what city your from, you claim to know someone. In his case, Skinny Joe. There was an article a year or so ago mentioning his restaurant was a meeting place for Philly/Providence guys. And I know a few girls who work/worked there also saying there were plenty of nights that he had guys from back home at the restaurant. Again, its second hand.
Idk if you know the guy I'm talking about, but if you do, is he/his spot legit?
I go back and forth. He was sued by another famous Philly restaurant guy who owns a spot in Ft Laudy because he copied his concept. You def know who I mean. So I can't tell if the guy is full of sh*t or not.

Most people talk about sports while propping up the bar. People in Philly talk about the mob? WTF? I would've thought that anyone in that life wouldn't talk about their business in a public place in earshot of other people under penalty of death. And I would've thought the American mafia is a completely obscure and weird topic for people to talk about casually in a social setting, a dangerous thing too if someone overheard them spreading gossip.
I will never understand Philly mob culture. I could never see this happening in NY. First you are way off...
Next it was about health and it was all neighborhood guys and had nothing to do with crime it had to do with doctor appointments. It has nothing to do with NY , Philly , Boston , Detroit it’s a North East neighborhood thing ..... we grew up in this . Are the guys really cool with Skinny being in Florida all the time? Kicking up to a guy you never see has got to bother some of those guys in the trenches. I wouldn't be all that surprised if Dom took over the whole thing eventually. Never know, until there is a powerful skipper willing to flex or till Skinny no longer wants the bullseye then it looks like status quo .
