so who moves up to consigliere of the outfit? does andriacchi come back?if he ever left or is he the boss w/ delaurentis acting as a front? is it john matassa, peter difronzo or does the position of consigliere in the outfit even exist? accardo was THE BOSS until his death and although long listed as consigliere accardo took orders from no one and had the final word on all major decisions which has always meant to me that he was THE BOSS. probably alot that leads to another thread but what the hell. You are grossly oversimplifying the Outfits leadership. There is always a 3 man panel (or two, during the Mooney years, with him & Ricca and no one else) that is like an elastic rubberband, so to speak. No one has “final wordâ€. All three guys come to an agreement Another thing, is that each Street Crew operates like its own miniature LCN family. A lot of times in the Outfit, the “top bosses†won’t even get involved in the affairs of the capos, as long as they get massive kick ups. It’s a “figure it out on your own†mentality Andriacchi has been retired for years & lives mostly on the east coast with his daughter, who is married to a high profile NHL player Pete DiFronzo is ancient & has been retired from the rackets for over 5 years Too much focus from a you guys on here toward lightning rod old men that have nothing to do with rackets anymore. The Outfit has been transitioning & getting younger over the past twenty years As far as Marcos rackets, Tony Dote & Bobby Abbinanti have been manning them for like a decade or more lol. They’re the powerhouses in 2020 Elmwood Park Of course the Outfit is still around. The Carparelli & Panozzo indictments prove that they still have crews & are still shaking people down, in Illinois & out of state If I had to pick a “consigliere†to Solly DeLaurentis, I’d go with Dino Marino, who is Solly’s eyes & ears

i've always looked at the outfit admin as BOSS,UB,STREET BOSS. it has never been made clear that a position of consigliere was of much importance and if it existed the "consigliere/#3"could also be the leader of say grand avenue or one of the 4 street crews. the leadership in chicago has always fulfilled dual roles.case in point is albert vena.he is the SB of the outfit and grand avenue capo/leader. so d'amico could have held the role of consigliere i guess and also been the leader of elmwood park?? and my guess as to membership is probably around 25-30 core/senior members with an unknown amount of associates in each street crew. as with all OC groups they don't advertise membership (aside from bikers i guess) those in the know and in chicago area would have a better idea.the outfit has never had a history of induction ceremonies to begin with so when exactly a guy moves from being associated to having the responsibility of a member is anyones guess. The Outfit absolutely has always had a traditional La Cosa Nostra making ceremony, from 1932 (when Teets Battaglia was made), up until present day. Sword, gun, holy card emcee, leadership panel, capo who is sponsoring you for made membership, etc. We know all of this. Not sure if you were being sarcastic or what, but that is complete nonsense Marco was Johnny Bananas’s closest friend & consigliere. Neither him, nor Johnny, nor Pete had/have been active in a long time. 5+ years. Dote & Abbinanti have been running Elmwood Park for a while now. Marco was never leader Elmwood park, he didn’t want the responsibility, and he, Johnny, and Willie Messino had been grooming Dote/Abbinanti/Fratto for the top positions in the street crew for the past thirty years Dino Marino is probably “consigliere†now. He spends the most time around Solly D. Or Pudgy Matassa, who just got out of jail Albie is pretty old too & not in great health. Spina is probably Grand Ave capo. Or it’s a sleeper As I stated above, the street crews don’t have as much interaction with each other as they used to. The Outfit is absurdly secretive, it’s impossible to speculate

appreicate ur input TheAngel
i agree the outfit is absurdly secretive, it may be wrong but they have less informers than any other cf in america. they are very successful but good things never last.
imo most cf have toppled due to the younger generation. greedy impatient idiots are never a good mix. In nearly 100 years, the Outfit has had TWO, count it, TWO known made informants, and only one that was able to actually testify. That is absolutely staggering & difficult for people to wrap their heads around

The outfit must be close to extinction these days I wouldn’t say that. There’s a lot of stuff that the public is unaware of Chicago also has an en enormous Italian population, with over half a million Italians in the greater metro area, and a relatively healthy influx of Italian immigrants (decent amount of Sicilians emigrate to Addison, IL, and I’d expect more will after this whole virus thingy). The Outfit will never go away, but the Street Crews operate like their own families nowadays

One day I will get out to chicago for a visit Another interesting thing about Chicago, is that the street art on buildings, contains Masonic emblems and signs. The first time I saw it, I was so confused lol.
In Sicily, women are more dangerous than the shotgun.
