I think Mancuso is alot more tougher and ruthless than Desantis, who seems to be Vic's lapdog anyway. Lucchese lost alot of power with Madonna and Crea being incarcerated. Also, didn't the recent rat the lukes had testify that they only had like 70 active members? The bananas probably still hold a solid 100 or so
On the other side, i feel the bonnanos are more into blue collar crimes while the lukes are more white collar and could make more riskless money, i might be way off here though

Honestly even though the lukes got hit with trials and sentences i still cant bet against them and say they are weaker.

In the 70s and 80s the bonannos were hit with alot of indictments and the Brasco Fiasco which led to them losing power among the comission, plus they lost Joey Bo which led to the internal wars they had, so yeah the lukes had more power in that era, but before that i have no doubt Joe Bo's family was stronger, he took over the Maranzano Family and planted his flag in canada and had the biggest dope pipeline. More money and influense i believe the bonannos were probably more powerful than the Anastasia family before Carlo Gambino took over.

Sidenote: Its funny how much knowledge I've acquired on the Original Bonannos, I am totally in the dark about the players in the Family for the past 20yrs.... I believe that unlike the "Gold standard" Genovese's, there is broken lineage to its founder. For example, if you trace all the Bosses and Capos, there is no separation from Lucky Luciano but more specifically Vito Genovese. The philosophies and connections to its origins is still there. The Bonannos don't have a trace to Mr. B, the Bonventres etc. Of course you have bloodlines from soldiers that are still prevelent (Asaros, Grimaldis etc) but not the founder. Can it even be said that there is a large base of Castellamarese?
