Matty couldn’t get made then becuase he was such a notorious dealer and didn’t want it becuase he wouldn’t have been able to get away w the things he was doing. But at the same time everyone liked him .... That might be true since the books were reopened in 75-79. Giving him only a little under two years to get made before being arrested.

Arnold Squtieri was another Funzi Sisca Oreste Obbamonte Steve Dellacava Ralph Como who was made around this time John Campopiano Steve Puco Anthony Rizzo Looking over, I can't find anything on Squitieri with pushing large quantity of H in the 70's. He was convicted of killing Caban in 1972 and wasn't released till '81. He starts pushing H through Angelo Ruggiero and gets made in '86. Two fun facts about Squitieri, he was getting drugs smuggled in while staying at Green Haven by a guard Jerome Rosenberg and there is an online affidavit from an inmate Albert Victory talking about this. Second is Squitieri linked with one Murad Nersesian in April '73 while Squitieri was awaiting trial, he is mentioned about heroin through Nersesian, who was found guilty in '73 for tax charges spent 2 years and fined 10k. Squitieri was a second conspirator found guilty sentenced to 4 years and 10k fine, third was a Ralph Tutino. Interesting fact about Murad "Mickey Coco" Nersesian born June 1, 1921 Died 12-6-1994 Yonkers, NY. He was indicated March 13, 1985 along with 21 others for smuggling H from the Middle East to NYC. Buying around 1,300 grams worth of it for 190k. He must have been a continued source for the Gambino's..

I believe in the 70s he was indicted for heroin dealing and for bribing a police officer to let him off on a murder...

Louie you are thinking about Desidero Caban murder, I mentioned earlier in 72 which he was released by the dirty cops when they pulled him over receiving a 5k payment but that was short lived and the bribe came out and he was on the lame till he got picked up later and was charged with manslaughter.

Sal's son is no joke. Has a major crew behind him supposedly. One of his top guys is the son of a former Bonanno powerhouse Didn't Sal Jr's son Sal III died recently at like 20 years old? I have heard that Larca Jr is a big player..

I really appreciate your input and detailed list. It's funny in these articles they give the ages and known residence. Like example Victor Russo 2294 Second Ave and then the Dellacava's one Stephen and Carmine 45 and 17. Who lived a few house down from Russo at 2267 Second Ave. Your right about Genovese like Russo and Dellacava. What is funny and I cannot fathom truly how long the list is of guys selling drugs is but wasn't it taboo and a death sentence for these guys to deal in drugs yet the proof shows they were known and so did the families know they were? So, why weren't examples made of the known ones? Because they would have to kill half the families so why all the smoking mirrors? It's all about making money anyway you can right!

Interesting article on Carmine Dellacava brother to Stephen. Talks about Carmine being the driver to the boss of the Genovese Family in the 80's. https://www.nytimes.com/2012/06/18/...er-rally-at-hotel-construction-site.htmlIt shows on Facebook the company was worth around 200 million in 2015 where Carmine already retired by then.

Like some big time Arab guy involved with the mob Mickey Coco Nerssisian was a mobster of Armenian extraction who lived out in Wantagh, LI, and started out in the early 1960s allied with Bonanno capo Frank (Frankie T) Mari. In fact, Mickey was active in the Banana War on Mari's side. After Mari got whacked he migrated off Long Island and relocated up to Westchester and got allied with another crew. I don't know who. He was very active in junk and other heavy rackets, and in the late 1970s got mixed up in the Westchester Premier Theatre fraud scam.

Like some big time Arab guy involved with the mob Yes, you are correct starting on page 211 Barnes goes into detail about him. He was also known as "Mikey Fusco" and in WW2 as "Turk"where he did belong to the 504th Parachute Detachment of the 82nd Airborne. NYMafia wrote a bio of him on his site and can definitely update his birth/death and add the bit about his WW2 career. I'm sure he sold to everyone but we can definitely link him with Bonanno and Gambino people as well as Barnes. Also, can't go wrong with if the last name ends in ian or yan it's Armenian LMAO.

This is kinda leading out to left field now and still hope my questions can be answered. How many other non made guys were pushing this amount of H in the 70's? I'm talking 20 kilos or more like Matty. I can only think of Eddie Lino. We can't say the Cherry Hill Gambino's. I know John and Rosario were made men in Sicily and all three brothers (Rosario, Giovanni, and Giuseppe) later became made members in Gambino family in '75.
