I need to add that Ghost Dog is not one of the best, not by far. It's just pretty good, and very different. It came to my attention when I was a passenger in a car, and the driver had talk radio host Michael Savage on. Savage was going on about how much he liked it, and saying it was so strange, weird, and bizarre, yet he could not stop watching it. I checked it out afterwards, and felt the same. One portrayal was what I think was an underbosss, who was a rap fan and was rapping in a mob club while siting at a table with his boss.

Raging Bull was a top mob "related" movie also. Without a doubt! It was a boxing movie. It was a lot of things. A biography "first and foremost" about an Italian guy from the Bronx who became an iconic boxer. But it was also about the Italian culture, the Bronx, gritty street life, the Mafia, criminality, his violent relationship with his girl and wife, his alcohol abuse, his later life after the ring, his nightclub career as a club comedian, etc., etc....But never mind all that Jace. You just keep saying "it was a boxing movie," like the stubborn, ignorant, argumentative blockhead that you have been since you came to this forum. Lol. You can't help yourself because you just love to cause trouble. PS: By the way we just released an interesting profile on top Baltimore mafia figure Thomas (Guinea Reds) Aversa. You'll enjoy it...(oh, I forgot. You can't read it).

I'll add: "Al Capone," basically a B-movie but with an electrifying performance by Rod Steiger in the title role. He was hands-down the best of all the movie Capones and Capone-like characters. This just aired on TCM a few days ago. Great film because of Steiger, but I had totally forgot that the female lead was played by the late Fay Spain - a very underrated actress whose last film role was as Hyman Roth's wife in GF2 (and you didn't even get to see any close-ups of her face). Signor V.
"For me, there's only my wife..."
"Sure I cook with wine - sometimes I even add it to the food!"
"When life itself seems lunatic, who knows where madness lies?"
"It was a grass harp... And we listened."
"Do any human beings ever realize life while they live it? Every, every minute?"
"No. Saints and poets, maybe... they do some."

Does anyone know what ITALIAN mafia movies on AMAZON PRIME are worth watching?? I like zero zero zero And I saw season 1 n 2 og gommoroa. Gammora series wasn’t my favorite but it was ok
Yes--"Mafioso" (1964), directed by Alberto Lattuada, is a great movie about a Sicilian (Alberto Sordi) who left the island for Milan, where he married a blond Northern Italian woman, has two blond daughters, and has a managerial job at the Fiat plant. He returns to Sicily to introduce his wife and kids to his family and friends. It's a riotously funny comedy about the clash of mores and customs twixt mainlanders and Sicilians--until he's recruited by the local gabellotto to do a job in New York. Brilliant!

I like Goodfellas and Casino, but I think I'd take away the narration. THATS THAT MADE THE MVIES THE NARRATION

For laughs, 1963 - "Johnny Cool", with an all-star cast.Or the Roberto Benigni film. "Johnny Stecchino", 1991. Might be hard to find, but worth a look.

What I find most amusing about this one is that there is a "Director's Commentary." WTF??? Wit Maverick. Obviously a name to conjure with... Right up there with Coppola, Scorsese, etc., I guess. Sopornos - 7?? How on earth did I manage to miss the first six??? Signor V.
