I was not around back then but so many people who I just cannot picture doing drugs say they used cocaine back in the 80's. They also say it was around in the bigger cities until the big boom of cocaine that came around 1980. An elderly couple confided in me that they did cocaine in clubs and then as they used it more often at their home in the 1980's. They say they stopped without going into rehab, which is tough to believe. I think that mobsters may have been less prone to using it, but many must have. I think the Philadelphia guys around Scarfo may have used drugs but of course I am just speculating.
