C'mon. Pistone was there to help chop up the bodies! Didn't Massino forbid him from being involved in anything around him? Operation Donnie Brasco got absolutely nothing on Joey. Pretty shrewd on his part. That part was true he helped with the bodies? And they didn't pull him right out after that? Crazy if you think about it

In the Pistone book it write that if would ask him to dispose the bodies the operation would stop and the mobsters arrested.Pistone was a simple associate so cant know about the 3 capos murders,if I dont mistake was some gambinos that buried the bodies.

Yes. As you said, Furio, he was just an associate, and there's no way they'd have given him advance notice of the most important Family hits in decades. If I remember the book correctly, they had him waiting outside, then they called him in to move the bodies. They did ask Gotti's crew to dispose of the bodies--the crew screwed it up because one of the bodies was discovered within days of the murders. Much as I admire Pistone's coglioni in infiltrating the Bonannos, I never believed his story that the Commission put a half-million-dollar price on his head. The Commission doesn't have a standing army ready to punish law enforcement people who damage the Mob, nor do they have a treasury to pay the "army." And, the only thing Dons have in common is greed, and distrust of each other. No way any Don would spend a dime of his Family's money to help the Bonannos get revenge for a disaster caused by their own stupidity.

The half a million bounty seems a bit far fetched but I dint doubt initially they would kill him but once the agents went to them and basically warned them about attempting to do that it was over with. As for the Gotti crew disposing of bodies I’ve heard it’s possible that they intentionally made it easier to find so maybe Bruno would come out of hiding but I’m not sure if that’s true. It’s also very possible like you says that they screwed up. As we know Gotti and his crew weren’t known for their brains lol
