I love the Warriors,it's one of my favorites but 1979 New York, does anyone find it odd why there was no mob presence in the film. I wonder why Walter Hill didn't add them into the movie.

Maybe it would have detracted from the street gang themed of then movie and it’s inspiration from an Ancient Greek army just trying to get back home

Maybe they could have had a gang that dressed in black shirts,white ties,and fedoras,and called themselves the Goombahs.

I don't think it would fit in.

I always thought of The Warriors as being a little abstract or beyond convention.
