Starting at Paul Castellano's former White House mansion in The Todt Hill section of Staten Island, I drove and recorded the entire route of his fateful last ride which ends at his final destination at Sparks Steakhouse. Along the way I had a spirited discussion about Big Paul with a buddy of mine who is also a mob aficionado. Enjoy the ride!

I got to compliment you too - that was really well done, I found myself enjoying the whole thing and I even learned a couple of things about that day I didn't know. I never quite knew the exact locations of Gotti/Gravano's parked vehicle either but you described it all very clearly.

Excellent work.

This is a much appreciated compliment, such was my goal to make the entire drive interesting and offer a unique insight into the route leading to an epic assassination. Thank you!

Thanks and ya know your statement reminds me of something the media embellished about the hit that I just wanna address real quick.

Often times stories and vids describe the area of the Castellano hit as "busy with people", "flooded with Christmas shoppers" etc but that's not accurate. I used to work right by Sparks and it's one of the less congested parts of midtown and once work let's out it turns into a ghost town (especially in the winter). While there certainly would've been some people walking around the area, it's not nearly as busy as 34th st/42nd st and there'e no reason for Christmas shoppers to have been by Sparks as there's no shopping over there and nothing on that stretch of 46th st other than Sparks.

Still a bold and brazen hit to do on a Monday in midtown Manhattan for sure but making it seem like it was in the midst of a large crowd of witnesses is an exaggeration.

Thanks yeah they were making a statement with three men wearing trench coats and those russian fur hats in midtown Manhattan.
