The miniseries is currently aired on an Italian TV. I'm tape-recording it. Besides the presence of Pacino and Streep, is it worthwhile?

I don't want realism. I want magic! Yes, yes, magic. I try to give that to people. I do misrepresent things. I don't tell the truth. I tell what ought to be truth (Blanche/A streetcar named desire)

Yes, it sweeped the golden globes in every TV mini-series category last year, including Pacino and Streep both winning awards for best actor/actress. Some say if it had been released in theaters last year that it could have won the oscar tho I doubt anything could have beaten Lord of the Rings.

I loved it at first, but after more viewings, I've grown to dislike it. Pacino is excellent in it, especially hospital scenes. Streep is also great in her few roles.

Newman's score is BEAUTIFUL also. I'd say ***/*****

Have not seen this. Still on my list of "to see". I'm not quite sure what I'm waiting for either. Eh, who knows, I'll see it soon.

And you liar, teller of tall tales: you trample all the Lord's commandments underfoot, you murder, steal, commit adultery, and afterward break into tears, beat your breast, take down your guitar and turn sin into a song. Shrewd devil, you know very well that God pardons singers no matter what they do, because he can simply die for a song.

I have seen it twice. It's really great. Al Pacino and Meryl Streep are excellent, and also the other younger actors.
"Angels in America" is extremely complex... very unusual for a TV-serie.

- Lord Vader!
- Yes, Master.
- Rise.

It's a stupendous series--the best thing to come out of television in the last 20 years. Brilliant! Fantastic performances by Pacino, Streep and the rest of the cast.

I just saw it on my college movie channel here and also remembered that the script may be the best I have ever heard. Thats another good reason to watch it.

I rented a while back, its quite good but not exactly my cup of tea. I couldn't comprehend what was going on, I guess I should have watched it more than once but it six hours.
