Was just curious has it ever come out how much Chapo paid for the tunnel that lead to a house a mile away from the prison?

I don't believe so.

I wonder how many people died building those tunnels.

His men were probably just told to do it, so I doubt he paid for it. As for anyone dying, they build tunnels to traffic drugs under the U.S. Mexico border, so they must have experienced men doing it. The prison officials and guards must have known it was going on. Once they started hammering upwards to his cell the noise had to be loud.

Yes on second thought you are right. The Cartels probably hire men who do that for a living.

Do you think that the podcaster or his source may have gotten the idea to say that from Breaking Bad?

El Chapo was protected by the Mexican government, his fault was to met Sean Penn, otherwise he would be still head of Sinaloa.

Ya i never understood that interview with Sean Penn....im guessing that was Chapo being Chapo...they say thrived off attention and would seek it out in the weirdest ways....
