If you get past the kiddy ghoulish shit, Roy and Company are a fascinating group of guys. They operated the largest auto theft ring in the history of the U.S. and Roy had his nebulous tentacles in many other rackets including loan sharking, embezzlement, drug dealing, pornography production and prostitution and human trafficking. The Gemini Crew was a huge money machine, which is why Paul Castellano gave Roy a long leash even though he personally disliked him. There's a distinct possibility that Roy knew Greg Scarpa through Sally Pro and the other Profaci bros who were regulars at Phil's Lounge in the Flatlands along with Freddy DiNome, Danny Grillo, Pete LaFroscia along with other assorted characters from both sides of the law in the extensive Canarsie Auto Theft Operation including Paul Vario. The Bergan Crew had a lot of muscle with the Carnegs, so they probably could hold their own against the Gemini Crew, especially reinforced with the Crews of Sammy Gravano and Frank DeCicco's Crew. Nino Gaggi was the only Capo not to swear fealty to Gotti, and Gotti probably wouldn't have moved on Castellano in 79, when Gaggi was more influential with Castellano. After the Empire Boulevard Auto theft ring was busted in spring of '80, Gaggi was on the outs with Castellano who was also indicted. When Nino saw Roy talking to Det. Kenny McCabe at Nino's going away party, Nino mentioned it to Castellano who sent DeCicco to reprimand Roy and that's when Roy was determined to be a possible liability that might need to be eliminated, sealing Roy's fate.
