Well like so many here love to point out, his mansion wasn't even close to how it is now after excessive renovations and two new owners. But being that it was the 1980s, what do you expect? People are so extra nowadays. Nothing is ever big enough. It went from 10,000 sq ft to 30,000 sq ft.

There has to be some guys living in nice homes.

If that is the case I think its pretty standard for old school Italian men to let their mothers live with them when they can't take care of themselves anymore.

Regardless of wealth or stature, it's very commonplace for Italian families to all live together, parents, grandparents, children, grandchildren, aunts and uncles, etc.

In fact, I'm told, it's part of our charm. Lol

My best friend who is Italian took his mother in till the day she passed away. Such a sweet woman she was, it was a very sad day when she died.

I always greeted her with a kiss and she would have a kiss for me as well.

I don't doubt that one iota.

In fact, I'm sure that was the case. Its actually a misnomer and an aberration for Italians to conduct themselves otherwise.
