Doesn't the Gambino boss Dom Cefalu live with his mom in an apartment? If that is the case I think its pretty standard for old school Italian men to let their mothers live with them when they can't take care of themselves anymore. Thats correct RS. We do not forget our elders....ever! Regardless of wealth or stature, it's very commonplace for Italian families to all live together, parents, grandparents, children, grandchildren, aunts and uncles, etc.

My best friend who is Italian took his mother in till the day she passed away. Such a sweet woman she was, it was a very sad day when she died.
I always greeted her with a kiss and she would have a kiss for me as well.
I don't doubt that one iota. In fact, I'm sure that was the case. Its actually a misnomer and an aberration for Italians to conduct themselves otherwise. It's in our DNA.

I was thinking today after reading the Castellano thread about his 16 million dollar mansion currently on the market...........
What boss today currently has the nicest home in the United States?
Pictures would be good to share if you have any. [quote=RushStreet] Ronnie Giallanzo's house that was in the news a few years back was pretty amazing. Also probably one of the main reasons they came after him. There's a few nice ones in Westchester, those Gambino guys all stinking rich. Even if you go back to the 80s though it's surprising how humble the majority lived whether they were wealthy or not. It has always been a minority who flaunted it, Castellano took it to the extreme lol, how much of that house is renovated I don't know but the pictures are incredible. If it is heavily remodeled I dread to think how much they spent on it on top of what they bought the house for
