I think that a non-aria member who is a rat did get killed, it would be an idiot like Gene Borello. He seems the type to keep getting into trouble.

Its very far fetched for me to believe that there isn't a guy out there that is capable to getting rid of rats that works for one of the 5 families or even the Chicago Outfit.

Its so insulting when I hear people claim otherwise. A hit must be sanctioned by the bosses so maybe it just comes down to the fact that there are no bosses right now willing to ok it because if it was then they go to prison if the guy who pulls the trigger gets caught.

So what is gonna happen is that a rat will be sitting somewhere thinking they are safe. Some fuckin crazy lunatic who wants to make a name for himself and get his 15 minutes of fame will whack him who isn't even a truly connected guy. Maybe a low level associate or something at the very most. There will be no order given as he will just do it on his own by his own choice.

Let's also not forget, in most cases, members and associates of organized crime don't even go to the harshest prisons, judging from photos I've seen. They generally do soft time, with few exceptions. John Gotti was one exception because the government really wanted to stick it to him, obviously because he humiliated them. So when you have guys flipping because they're afraid of doing soft jail time, it makes them look even softer. Then, when you have guys flipping over gambling and assault cases, it makes them look softer still flipping over just a few months. All the Commission bosses took 100 years like nothing, so no it's not just the threat of prison time.

99% of civilians could not care less about rats lol. You should see some of the baffled faces who go on Skinny Joey's podcast. They truly struggle to make sense of his burning hatred for rats. They think he's insane. Why? Because they're not criminals like him. Even Joey Diaz looked perplexed when Joey went off lol. The only people who give a fuck about rats are either old-line guys in the street or mentally challenged adults who've watched the Sopranos one too many times. That's it!

Americans idolize rats. They think its the respectable thing to do, change your life around for the better and turn on people who are in the mafia.

They also think that once a member,always a member,no matter if they cooperated or not
They act like they are on the Commission or Supreme Court when making decisions of who is a rat . According to some of them everybody seems to in some way qualify as a rat
A lot of contradictions in some of their stories.
Not even close to resembling the mobsters of the 1930 to 1970 era

Whatever mob there is these days evidently isn't an all for one,one for all,type deal anymore.If the cooperator didn't hurt them they don't really seem to care or be willing to risk doing anything
And that kind of dissipates the fear people once had of offending or disobeying the mob in any way
Only the one who got punished for the cooperation seems to be the only one who'd possibly seek vengeance

Seems like they also put business in the names of others
Probably a lot of reasons: can't get certain licenses,like for liquor ; afraid of lawsuits ; possibly collecting checks and not allowed to have other income ; maybe for tax evasion
