Vincenzo “Jimmy Nap” Napoli - Numbers Racket Kingpin!
From his home base in the Williamsburg section of Brooklyn, local and federal law enforcement authorities long considered Jimmy Nap to head the largest policy-numbers gambling operation in the entire United States.
When Michael Franzese was proposed for membership, Jimmy Nap made a complaint on behalf of the Genovese Family because Michael Franzese had some business with the Genoveses and he claimed that he should be made with the Genovese family and not the Colombo family.
Franzese did have some business with associates of Pasquale "Paddy Mack" Marchiola, a Genovese soldier whom I believe was in Jimmy Nap's crew. So the Genovese claimed he was with them and not with the Colombos.
The two families had a sit down and it was ruled that Franzese should be with the Colombo Family and he eventually got made.
