This next challenge involves two hoodlums, both named Dutch, both of whom were from New York.

Your job is to provide the real ‘first and last names’ for each man.

A) Dutch
B) Dutch

Dutch Schultz, nickname of Arthur Flegenheimer. grin

The other IDK.

Dutch is not an uncommon nickname, seems to be used for a variety of reasons.

Flegenheimer was released on parole on December 8, 1920, and went back to work at Schultz Trucking. With the enactment of the Volstead Act and the start of Prohibition in the United States, the shipping company began smuggling liquor and beer into New York City from Canada. This led Flegenheimer to start associating with known criminals. It was also during this time that Flegenheimer became better known as "Dutch" Schultz. Following a disagreement, he left Schultz Trucking and went to work for their Italian competitors.

Lol. Well, THATS definitely a direct hit! Good job, Hollander!

He was also definitely the more notorious of the two I listed. No doubt about that!

PS: I'll leave the other guy as a mystery for a bit to see if anyone else nails him. If no one does, then I'll reveal his name later, ok. But here's a little hint. This "Dutch" was definitely an Italian mafioso, a soldier in one of the NYC Families...and, allegedly, a major heroin trafficker.

Well, I do respect your priorities, Hollander. A nice cold Heineken always comes first! lol

That said, I'll provide one more clue, ok.

He was an old-time soldier in the Gambino Family.

The "other" Dutch in question was - Angelo “Dutch” Meli (Gambino)

Based in Staten Island and Brooklyn, Meli was a Gambino soldier who, during the 1960s-early 1970s era, became a major narcotics wholesaler in the Fort Greene and Bedford-Stuyvesant sections of Brooklyn, supplying black dealers with pure white asian heroin for resale. He was later convicted and served decades in federal prison.

Thats correct, Malavita. His name was "Dutchie" Tuzzo. He was the brother of Charles "Chuckie" Tuzzo.
