This next challenge involves seven mafiosi, from seven different families. Each of these men had variations of “Don” as their nickname.

Your job is to provide the real ‘first and last name’ for each man, and then match the (letter) of his nickname with the corresponding (number) of the Family/City he was with.

A) Don Cheech
B) Don Vitone
C) Don Turiddo
D) Don Pepe
E) Don Ciccio
F) Don Peppino
G) Don Cheech

1) Bonanno (NYC)
2) Magaddino (Buffalo)
3) Scalish (Cleveland)
4) Gambino (NYC)
5) Genovese (NYC)
6) Lucchese (NYC)
7) Bruno (Philadelphia)

PS: Be careful in making your choices, because some nicknames could possible apply to several families. So a "process of elimination" its suggested to whittle them down and identify the correct man in question.

Three direct hits, all bulls-eyes! Nicely done.

F-1 Joseph "Don Peppino" Bonanno
B-5 Vito "Don Vitone" Genovese
A-4 Frank "Don Cheech" Scalici

3 down....with 4 to go!

C would be Salvatore Sabella of Philadelphia, or it could be G Frank Barale a rival of Sabella during the 1920s who ran his own gang and would be a capo from 1931 until his death in 1958.

Those are both respectable choices for Don Turiddo. But I had someone else in mind for Philadelphia. This particular Don Turiddo is with another family altogether.

Here's a clue, this guy is with a NYC-based Family, not Buffalo, Cleveland or Philly.

C-6 was a little known, Sicilian-born soldier by the name of Salvatore "Don Turiddo" Curiale (Lucchese)

G-7 was Francesco “Don Cheech” Donnianni (Philadelphia)

"Don Cheech" Donnianni was a little-known, veteran soldier of the old Angelo Bruno Family.

E-3 was Francesco “Don Ciccio” Milano (Cleveland)

Frank "Don Ciccio" Milano was one of the "original" founding bosses, an early Commission member, as well as one of the more significant leaders to ever rule over the City of Cleveland and its outer territories.

And then there was one!...Who is D, "Don Pepe" ?

Our final "mystery mobster" was known as "Don Pepe" to his associates. D-2 was Giuseppe “Don Pepe” Sottile (Buffalo)

Sottile was a longtime veteran soldier in the Stefano Magaddino Family of Buffalo-Niagara Falls, NY

Well folks, that about wraps up this latest mystery mobster challenge. See ya next time!
