...PART II
Mob guys love their nicknames. All types of crazy nicknames. But without a doubt, among the most popular nicknames were always related to food. And based on the Italian culture and their love affair with food, and how much mafiosi love to cook and eat, it all makes perfect sense, no?
For this next challenge we once again list seven different mafiosi, from seven separate Cosa Nostra Families located throughout the United States. Each had an interesting and colorful nickname related to food
Your job? — “should you choose to accept it” — is to identify the first and last name of each mafiosi, then match the (letter) of their nickname to the corresponding (number) of the Family they were affiliated with.
A) Benny Eggs B) Brandy Jack C) Paulie Ham D) Joe Peanuts E) Tony Bananas F) Larry Baccala G) Sally Fruits
1) Bonanno 2) Bruno 3) Colombo 4) Gambino 5) Genovese 6) Dragna 7) Lucchese

B-6 is Los Angeles associate Jack Lima (1912-1985)
He was associated to Simone Scozzari in the 1950s and was still around the family by the late 1960s (according to the LAPD), though it's not clear who he would've been on record with at that point
“I am saying for the record there is no organized crime except in the minds of the U.S. government, Mario Puzo and reporters who seem to capitalize on it." – John Vaccaro

Here's one for ya. Who wants a ham sandwich?
C-7 was Paul "Paulie Ham" Correale (Lucchese)
"Paulie Ham" was a high-respected old-timer and partner of fellow soldier Carmine "Gribbs" Tramunti from the Lucchese Family's East Harlem section. He was later elevated to a Capodecina status by boss Tommy Lucchese.
In fact, Correale was so "well thought of" by his fellow members, that he was considered a top front runner as the successor to boss Tommy Brown after Lucchese succumbed to brain cancer in 1967.
Unfortunately, Correale died suddenly while on a trip to Florida, ending his up-to-that-point, illustrious underworld career. -
2 down, 5 mystery mobsters remain.

G - 1 : Salvatore "Sally Fruits" Farrugia (Bonnano)
Sally Fruits was a zip Bonnano capo in the 80's. When there was a split in the Family, he was with the Rastelli faction against the infamous 3 capos. He was one of the few zips that was trusted by the Rastelli faction and was even appointed Acting boss at some point but his english was not very good so Joey Massino and Sonny Black kind of took over the day to day handling of the Family. Malavita, Salvatore Ferrugia is correct. Sally used to live in Bellerose, Queens, Good hit job! lol. - ...You guys have now whittled this down to 3!

This is what I don’t understand you said the Letters and Numbers including Families had to be In order I Knew it was Sally Fruits but number 1 is Benny Eggs and the Family says Bonanno so If I were to Say A-5 - Venero (Benny Eggs) Mangano - Genovese Underboss would that Count ? Cause there is some Confusion on how you set everything up especially if thr Families have to be in order with the the Letters and Numbers I didn't understand what you meant by that question. Now I understand. Of course not, otherwise that would make it too easy to match up, right? I gotta mix each nickname and family up, scrabble them all around, so it's challenging.

2 left to go, Larry Baccala and Tony Bananas.
F-3 was Lawrence “Larry Baccala” Abbandando (Colombo)
Born in the East New York section of Brooklyn, Larry Abbandando was a longtime Colombo Family associate who served within the regime of John "Sonny" Franzese. Years later, Larry transferred over to the Gambino Family.
He was the son of the infamous Murder Inc. executioner, Frank "The Dasher" Abbandando, who ended up in the electric chair at Sing Sing Prison for murder.
During his career, "Larry Baccala" was known to be active in bookmaking, extortion, nightclub infiltration and pornography rackets. --- Last, but certainly not least was...
E-2 was Antonio “Tony Bananas” Caponigro (Bruno)
This infamous mobster needs no introduction. Antonio Caponigro was the longtime consigliere of Philadelphia's Angelo Bruno Family, who was later slaughtered by The NY Commission for having plotted Bruno's murder. ---
Abbandando and Bruno wrap up this challenge...see you on the next go-around.

Wasint there a Frank Abbandando Jr who was Killed in Florida By one of Sonny Blacks Sons for Flicking him off with his Middle Finger and had it Cut off as well and I knew it was Tony Bananas Caponigro but I get it your making it more Challenging Thats exactly right, Butchie. Abbandando Jr. was related to Larry Baccala. He was his nephew. Larry had a brother, Frank Abbandando, who everybody called "Junior" Abbandando. I believe the kid killed in Florida was his son. Larry, his brother, and their families moved to South Florida in the early 1970s.

I thought Larry Bacala was always Brooklyn Guy I didint know they all Lived in Florida and Operated hear since the 70s I knew about Frank Junior in Florida but thought the others were still in New York No. As I mentioned, the Abbandando family came out of the East New York section of Brooklyn, which is right next to Brownsville (I guess thats how their father, "The Dasher" originally hooked up with Murder Inc.) But Larry was having a lot of police pressure in NY during the late 1960s-early 1970s and he was getting burnt out, so he decided to move south. His brother went with him. So those kids you mentioned all grew up down there, around Miami.
