What guys were or are made who aren't full Italian? For the record, I just read an article that has me convinced that Big Vince Filipelli of Philadelphia wasn't actually made. Filipelli is said to be only a quarter Italian and his actual surname isn't Filipelli.

I think the Mafia has relaxed the rules a bit,so that as long as your father is 100% Italian,you don't have to be full blooded.
For example John Gotti JR's mom,Victoria, is half Russian,on her fathers side and half Italian on her mother's.

I would say that they've relaxed the rules a lot. But who knows, if they continue recruiting more from the old country, maybe things will tighten up. That's if said old countrymen move into leadership positions. Of course, I'm only speculating.
