Lets take a look at the state of the mob in 2024.

In your opinion describe the modern day mobster and how they compare to the old school.

Describe how things have changed in regards to qualifications to be a made guy or associate in 2024 compared to lets say 1974.

How have the rackets changed and what kind of business these guys prefer to be involved in compared to 40 or 50 years ago? Also how they prefer to handle things in regards to their business matters.

It would take a year of Sundays,(and I would) But as I say, its so multifaceted, that you'd have to be prepared to hunker down on your couch, grab food and drink, and be prepared to spend the rest of the week reading my response.

Put an explanation together and when you are ready to send it (Could be a week from now) proceed to shoot it over as a private message. It will be interesting to hear your opinion on this!

Ok. Sounds like a plan. (but I might need a bit more than that, cause I'll be in and out of NY over the next few weeks)

In the old days you must be full blooded italian, carried a murder for the family. To be made was the brst thing because was more easy to kill people so the fact that must ask the ok to your boss can save your life.
The families was more connected so you can take a job in a union and made many money.
Also the dope business was more profitable thanks to the tons of H from the Sicily.
And the best was that with no witsec there was few rats.

Simply put, no Italian ghetto, no real gangsters. Period. Not sure why this is so hard to understand. There’s no training ground.

Thats about as honest as the answer can get. New generation Italians are born with silver spoons in their mouths for the most part. Many have fathers who were the same way. None of these guys have aspirations to be involved in organized crime. They are raised in the suburbs and have a social circle that don't even respect where their great grandfathers came from and were involved in. I guarantee most of us on here know more about organized crime history than they do.
