Ok guys, here's the deal. I'm giving you the opportunity to leave your opinion on what happened to him.

You can describe in detail your suspects, what murder weapon was used and where they decided to get rid of the body.

Looking forward to your responses! Thank you to everyone who chooses to participate in this discussion.

I believe he was picked up at the Red Fox in Joey Giacalone’s maroon sedan driven by Vito Billy Giacalone and a couple others.

Then he was taken to Carlo Licata’s home that was very close to the Red Fox. Carlo was married to soon-to-be boss Jack Tocco’s sister.

He was killed there and then taken to Central Sanitation to be incinerated.

My alternative theory on body disposal.

It’s possible they hauled his body in a Gateway Transportation truck to New Jersey as Dan Moldea thinks. The doubters say there’s no way someone is bailing a body across state lines but they forget in 1975, things were much different and by the time the body got to Jersey, he was just barely officially declared missing.

Even back then they were not gonna transport a dead body all the way to Jersey

No way. Why would they do that?

I’m not saying they did but we’re thinking about it with 21st century logic knowing our current technology.

Another reason it potentially happened is because they knew everyone would say exactly that…..there’s no way the body left Detroit.

I think back in the days I read somewhere that Chicago was either against it or allegedly remained neutral because it was more of a "Detroit" thing, which I hardly believe was the case since right after the Hoffa hit, Chicago's leadership had meetings with Detroit's bosses regarding Frank Fitzsimmons. Later, the Chi Outfit made a mistake by nixing the contract on Frank, out of obvious reasons. If they killed Fitzsimmons, Glick and Lefty, the Vegas trials were never going to reach the same success as they did back during the mid 1980s.

I'm probably in the minority but Sheeran's version always seemed credible to me. Even if he wasn't the actual shooter, him being there is perfectly consistent with how Cosa Nostra does many hits. A guy you trust sets you up and is there to put you at ease, your bodyguard betrays you and allows it to happen etc.

Which is probably why he was one of the top suspects from the very beginning.

People are actually debating whether or not a dead body can be transported across state lines? Morons lol. It can even be done today, especially in 1975.

I dont think anyone is debating the legality of it, but more whether they did/didn't or should/shouldn't.

The best evidence points toTony Palazzolo and Billy Giacalone (plus another man, probably Bozzi Vitale or Jimmy Quasarano) picking him up from the Red Fox. He was then driven to a nearby home linked with the mob. It would be a home he had sit-downs before with some of the same characters. This would ensure the location did not raise any suspicions, as Hoffa always had his guards up.

Over the preceding months, Hoffa had multiple meetings with mobs figures that were arranged by the Giaclone brothers. The GR reported up to 12 of such meetings took place. Hoffa must have thought he was going to one of those routine meetings.

As for as Palazzolo, he was caught on wiretap talking about the Hoffa murder and the Central Sanitation links place Vitale and Quasarano right in the middle of the conspiracy. Furthermore, Quasarano and Vitale headed a meeting with top level NY mobsters (including Briguglio who was also present) in Manhattan to brief them on what happened a few days after the murder.

Once Hoffa entered the residence one of those present either shot him or he was strangled by the three men who picked him up. They then destroyed the body, most likely using sanitation facilities many of which were accessible to the mob. FBI informants at the time reported that over 10 mob victims were known to have been subject to the same treatment.

Due to the intense scrutiny the murder would be expected to bring about, the Detroit mob had the foresight to completely get rid of Hoffa's body.

Yep if anything he was dealt with at Central Sanitation or whatever it was called. Nobody can make me believe they threw his ass in the trunk and headed on to Jersey
