I was never a big Bond fan, but I did enjoy License to Kill with Timothy Dalton lol. Saw it with my dad when I was like 8

But you had to play it cool, had to do it your way
Had to be a fool, had to throw it all away

My favorite is probably GOLDENEYE because it was the first Bond movie I saw, then GOLDFINGER, and then CASINO ROYALE.

In descending order:

From Russia With Love was the hands-down best. Also the best novel.
Dr. No--first movie, quality plot, Joseph Wiseman great in the title role.
Goldfinger--most ambitious, dry humor, Gert Frobe great.
Thunderball--starting to go off the deep end.

The only non-Connery Bonder I liked was Live and Let Die.

I recently watched them again.

Octopussy is underrated IMO my favorite with Sir Roger Moore.

I appreciate the Connery Bonds are the best bond films but i was more of a Roger Moore fan myself, i think it's because i grew up watching then on TV , the Moore ones always seemed to be on during Christmas holidays so i have an attachment to his films. Live and Let Die being his best effort IMO

License to Kill is the one that has the most nostalgic value for me.

I love them both it's not a competition, Moore had his own style very British !

Naval intelligence officer Ian Fleming based the character on British master spy Sidney George Reilly and Peter Tazelaar the Dutchman played an important role in the resistance during World War II as an Englandvaarder, spy and adjutant.

But a part was also based on his friend Prince Bernhard.
