Lol I love how nobody here even cares lmao, considering this was posted 4 days ago. If it wasn't for the Mafia, I think most people wouldn't even be interested in organized crime.

I guess we can say whatever we like, but at the end of the day, guy's a real gangster and a stand-up guy.

That is true. But if Big Meech would be a mobster,he would get life and not 30 y and an early release after only 16 y.

Yes, you're exactly right Furio. The government seems to have a hard-on for the Mafia that they seem not to have for other criminal groups. Especially LCN, even more than Mafiosi from Italy or Canada for example. Uncle Sam has a bitter hatred for La Cosa Nostra.

Thats bull
Many drug traffickers or criminals from different background got life.
The justice is not harder on mob guys.
Never saw a mob guy put in death row, even if he’s a straight killer and got put to jail because of murders.

Dude, plenty of mobsters went to the electric chair in the 1940s. As far as the death penalty, in the parts of the country where the mob is still prevalent, those are blue states, NOBODY'S hardly getting the death penalty. It would have to be a pretty horrific murder or murders. Even then it's a slim chance. Otherwise, the government is tougher on the mob than other groups. No mobster is getting 30 years and getting out after only serving half. Just ask Nicky Scarfo Jr. He got 30 years and there weren't even any murders or physical violence!

Not accurate3 on your part. The death penalty is so rare now that argument is not applicable. Joe Massino did say win his testimony that 2 members of a Bonnano crew did go to the electric chair in the 1950's.

Mafia members get way high sentences, and almost every case of a sick and dying person being denied parole is Mafia related. Mark Rieter, Spiro V, Amuse, there is a double standard. I am not familiar with Big Merch, and don't really care one way or another on him. To say the justice system in not harder on mob guys is just plain crazy.

Talking like the mob is the only one getting life sentences smh.
You got guys like big meech or Joey Merlino that get out, even if they are top figures.
And you got guys that stay in jail for life, in any crime groups.
Thats part of the justice system

What did Big Meech get convicted of to wind up in prison? I don't trust news sources that much, so I'll ask here. I have no idea who he is. Anyone here that familiar with his story?

Talking about the death sentence from guys in the 40s and 50s.
And you got guys like tookie williams who got killed on death sentence in the 2000s.
Even if the circumstances are different.
The justice is not going harder on the mob and not the other crime groups.
You are a criminal, they are going after you, point blank.
Some are lucky with their sentences, and other are not. No mather if you from the mafia, gangs, bikers, triads, cartels or any kind of group

Sonny Franzeze was sentence to 50 years in 1970 but got out on parole in 1978.

The Black Mafia Family (BMF) is a drug trafficking and money laundering organization in the United States. It was founded in 1985, in Southwest Detroit by brothers Demetrius Edward "Big Meech" Flenory and Terry Lee "Southwest Tee" Flenory. By 2000 it had established cocaine distribution sales throughout the United States through its Los Angeles-based drug source and direct links to Mexican drug cartels.[8][9] The Black Mafia Family operated from two main hubs: one in Atlanta for distribution run by Demetrius Flenory and one in Los Angeles to handle incoming shipments from Mexico run by Terry Flenory.[10]

The Black Mafia Family under Demetrius Flenory entered the hip-hop music business as BMF Entertainment in the early 2000s as a front organization to launder money from cocaine sales and to legitimize itself. BMF Entertainment served as a promoter for several high-profile hip-hop artists, and as a record label for their sole artist Bleu DaVinci. Demetrius Flenory and the Black Mafia Family became famous in hip-hop culture for their highly extravagant lifestyles.

In 2005, the DEA indicted members of the Black Mafia Family, ultimately securing convictions by targeting the Flenory brothers under the Continuing Criminal Enterprise Statute, and both were sentenced to 30 years imprisonment. Prosecutors alleged the Black Mafia Family made over $270 million in the course of their operations.[7]

Black Mobs, I'm sorry if I offended you. I wasn't trying to turn this into a race thing. I do think that the Feds have a special hard-on for the Mafia, an organization that they haven't proved that they're any better than. At least we know what the mob is, the government hides behind a veil of righteousness.

Don’t worry Liggio, i was not offended, and I don’t see it as a race thing.

I think that the american justice system go hard on organized crime as a whole.
In the past, I would have the same mindset as you, on the justice system and OC.
But now, RICO is given to many criminal groups, and many criminals got football numbers, as does the mob. Sure, you got people that are lucky, like big meech or sonny franzese that could got out before the end of their sentences. But many guys don’t have thoses chances.

Say what you will but Big Meech made a truckload of money and ran his drug business with an impressive level of corporate sophistication and not like some lunatic. He did his time and the fact that he's getting out must be big news in that world.

Yep and in prison he was a role model not causing any trouble.

The mob is glamour while the black gangs not. Doesnt matter that the BMF made almost 100 milions a years and killed more people than mob in the last 40 years.
The 90 years old mobster is considerate more dangerous that black copkillers that was released in this year.
Plus there is BLM that push for black inmates because the police and DA is racist and framed black people. But not the white people,no,they can't framed or have a wrongful trial.

Yes, there is the glamor aspect to the Mafia that pisses the government off, and it still applies even though it's not even glamorous anymore. I mean, wiseguys aren't even decked out in 3-piece suits with cashmere overcoats and shoes that shine like fucking mirrors anymore. Doesn't matter. They're still going after them the same. Dare I say that John Gotti left everlasting damage to the mob. He's probably the main reason that so many mobsters dress like bums today, to take everything back to the shadows. Just look at recent Genovese inductee William Daddino, wearing jean shorts. That shit's been played out since the 2000s.

Why? Because he ran one of the most successful multi-billion drug trafficking organizations the USA has ever seen. I don't think that's out of place on a forum dedicated to gangsters.

And your wording is rather shitty if you don't mind me saying so.

Same reason why they celebrate John Gotti, Al Capone, Lucky Luciano etc; same shit, different era and different race.

I watched a few documentaries on BMF and read a bit about them, he was definitely competent but made the same mistake others have made as well. I guess he knew his time would come sooner rather than later and just wanted to have as much fun as possible lol.

I wonder if he'll do any interviews, that asshole from VladTV probably got a hard on as soon as he saw he's getting out. My money's on him giving blowjobs to whoever he needs to in order to get him on his channel.

It'd be cool if he made like a random cameo in 50 Cent's BMF show, no lines or anything just maybe him bumping into his son that's playing him.

To compare this guy to John Gotti is fucking comical.

John Gotti is rolling over in this fucking grave.
