I know that Jeff Nadu isn't very popular in this genre, but he made a great point in a video regarding this big mouth, lying blowhard. John Alite might be a big time bullshitter, embellishing nearly all, if not all of his stories, in many cases outright lying. But he wasn't a nobody in that life. Surveillance photos and pics of him with the Gotti family prove as much. You don’t run in those circles and not have street cred. And him being Albanian is irrelevant. Don't even get me started on the many, non-Italian hoodlums who were just as respected as many made men. The underworld is too complicated and nothing is as it seems.

The reason Alite is so disliked is how he handled himself during and after cooperating. He was rubbing his cooperation in everyones faces and he also made very "below the belt" and humiliating comments towards those he testified against which he did not have to do. He acted like a complete low life and he had absolutely no moral compass. Borello is cut from the same cloth.

And I can agree with all of that.

Alite ratted (testified/cooperated), thats a fact. That being said, it happens and he didnt want to spend the rest of his life in prison. Of course those whom he testified against will call him a rat and a cooperator, that goes with the territory and in exchange, he gets a "get out of jail " card. Alite would of been forgotten about and he could of lived a normal life. Unfortunately Alite had to make very disturbing and unwarranted comments about people and he did not have to do that. Constantly making claims and horrible comments about the Gotti family and Vicky Gotti. For what ??? Why even do that???? He chose to be a scumbag.
Mikey "Scars" and Anthony Ruggiano cooperated but they lives with it and don't make it their life's mission to destroy people. Alite does and so does Borello.
The only reason Alite went to the Ravenite was with JR Gotti, not because the Gambino's wanted him there.

Borrello seems to like to paint as many people as he can as rats and seems act like he is an authority on the rulebook for what make a guy a rat

John Alite is what we call a mental midget. The guy have to give him credit though takes care of himself physically and dresses very well.

He is and was a nobody. He wound up in a few photos because for a BRIEF time he hug out with Junior Gotti. So he got to stand about 10 feet away while Gotti greeting his father, and he got introduced to a few people while hanging out with Junior. Alite was a nobody in Mafia life.

Borello was a nobody, comes across as a piece of shit!

For sure
But Borrello is always online talking like he and Alite are the only two guys who were willing to commit the hard core acts of violence
And always trying to point fingers at as many as they can calling them cooperators
