Polish drug lord is caged in Murcia after making Spain's ... A POLISH fugitive named as one of Spain’s ’10 most wanted’ criminals has surrendered to police in Murcia because the added exposure put him under ‘severe’ pressure. Marek Dawid Legiec, 32, had a European Arrest Warrant issued in his name by Polish authorities for running an international drug trafficking gang that had links to Germany and Spain. Three years ago, the Policia Nacional received information that he could be hiding in Spain. https://www.theolivepress.es/spain-...r-making-spains-top-10-most-wanted-list/

January 13, 2025 Fugitive Pole arrested near Venlo, still to serve 19 years in prison A fugitive Polish man (35) was arrested on Friday evening on the A67 near Venlo. During a check it turned out that the man still has to serve more than four years and two months in prison in Poland and fifteen years in Belgium. He was convicted in both countries for drug offences.
On Friday evening, the Polish man was checked on the A67 near the border at Venlo. The man entered the Netherlands from Germany. During the check, he handed over a false driver's license and two false identity documents. He was arrested for this.
During the check, it turned out that the man was wanted internationally in Poland and Belgium. In Poland, he still has to serve more than four years and two months in prison for drug offenses, in Belgium fifteen years.
The Netherlands will prosecute the man for the false documents he handed over during the check.
