Extremely insecure, felt like he had to be a bully to everyone and anyone. Even the other bosses he treated like shit.

I like Tony , I really do. His character was great entertainment and made the show worth watching.

But in real life, this guy would have been almost impossible to work with and it just wouldn't have been a smart business decision to keep him around other than for being a loan shark and hitman. No fuckin way would he ever have been considered for a boss role. They also more than likely would have found out he was talking with the FBI and for that alone he would have gotten whacked. I firmly believe he was giving inside information on other mafia members to let him operate his own crew and family. The same exact thing Whitey Bulger was doing in Boston.

As much as I hate to say it, Tony was everything he despised. He was a RAT.

If Tony was giving up other mobsters, why didn’t we see it? They would have showed that

Its a red flag when he's constantly talking to FBI agents. I don't give a fuck what was showed in the show, that is enough for me to believe he is possibly providing information on others to the feds for protection of his own crew. Plenty of guys in real life have been whacked over the same thing.

Whitey Bulger comes to mind.
