David Lynch, Twin Peaks and Muholland Drive director, dies aged 78 Film-maker who specialised in surreal, noir style mysteries made a string of influential, critically acclaimed works including Wild at Heart and Eraserhead
I wanna say this about David Lynch. David Lynch didn’t just direct films; he built entire worlds that felt like stepping into someone else’s dream. No one else could make the strange feel so real. He was the true godfather of surrealism in the world of American cinema.
I also highly recommend Mulholland Drive
But you had to play it cool, had to do it your way Had to be a fool, had to throw it all away
There was a big fuss here about Twin Peaks at the time back when a TV show still drew millions of viewers.
I recommend you rewatch it. It's such a beautifully crafted show. I was amazed at how much I remembered from having first seen it some 30 years ago. My wife really liked it and she had never seen it
