This will get very messy very fast and has the potential to hit (innocent) American citizens as well (depending on the drone strike). I think Mori's main mistake was to declare all those big aristocratic landowners as "victims" of the mafia "gabellotti" who oversaw their estates. Those landowners were ordering mafia murders themselves and in many cases were the real power. Leaving them alone while fighting the "lower" mafia, was rather pointless imo, even though Mori managed to hurt a number of mafia groups whose leaders didn't manage to get the Fascist party "blessing" for their activities.
