Its been documented that he was a federal rat since at least the mid-1960s. But he was suspected of being a informant years earlier, probably dating back to the 1950s. He was allegedly affiliated with the Luccheses, but Fiore was an equal opportunity squealer, setting up made guys in at least three families, including the Bonannos and Colombos.
