A difficult man but often underrated as an actor. Kilmer studied acting at the famous Juilliard Drama School in New York . Either way, I met him once after his cancer and he was nice. Obviously wasn't able to say much but I'll remember him fondly. What he did with the Doc Holliday character in TOMBSTONE is nothing short of a master class.

I saw that movie with my dad, and I seem to remember that we were both quite impressed by Val's portrayal of that man with the lung disease. Wasn't he constantly spitting blood?
