He is a legend but there's no way you can say he had a successful career. Yeah, he got to the top ( and stayed too long) but the guy was in permanent legal trouble from like his mid teens. He was only on the streets for about 15 years. His brother Allie didn't have it any better, only around for the 1970s as a free man. Messed his sons life up as well.

Messed his sons life up as well. dsd -- I happen to 100% agree with your assessment of Persico (and his brothers) and his career/their careers. He was notorious. He became a legend. But his was not what anyone with any common sense would call a "successful" career or a fulfilling life. In fact, truth be told, it was a total disaster.
