Did Scarpinito, a Calabrese, end initially join up with the Calabrian Honor Sociey or was it a Camorra group?
When and why did he eventually join up with the Luciano-Genovese Cosa Nostra Family ? As I wrote in his story, dating all the way back to the time he was a young man he was 'affiliated' to the neighborhood's Camorra faction through relatives of his who were part of the gang. As the years went on, by the 1930s, he joined up with the amalgamated Cosa Nostra like everyone else did, be they Calabrian, Neapolitan or Sicilian. Btw: Scarpinito's biography is the final jewel in the crown of our previously released "Camorra" series.

The article gave locations of various Camorra clans in NYC
It would be interesting find a NYC map of the Boroughs in that time period that shows where Camorra,Mafia, or N'Drangheta Family was located in their respective neighborhoods and even on a map of the Nation
Did any of those Calabrian or Camorra Families continue to exist in NYC after the 1930s ? I agree with you about a map. As far as continuing on after the amalgamation of all the Italian clans? That I'm not so sure of (but I wouldn't doubt there could be some outliers.) It's not hard to imagine.
