Speaking of clothing today and the way these fucking morons dress today in the mob, made me start thinking about something very important and worthwhile.

What mob bosses in the past had their guys follow a dress code where they had to always look presentable in public? They made sure their guys left the house looking sharp wearing nice clothing and also good hygiene was a must.

John Gotti I believe was one of them who did this, and even Whitey Bulger required his men to dress well and encouraged his men to be in good physical condition considering he was a gym rat who followed a strict diet.

Any others?

Lucchese capo Joseph "Joe Cafe" DeSenna wants the guys in his crew to always be clean shaven.

Bro what is it with your obsession with the way mob guys dress or look? Every week you make 3 threads about this topic and it genuinely looks like you take it personal that mob guys don't all look like Michael Corleone.

Are you mentally ill?

Look its about respecting yourself and caring enough to represent the guys you work for to actually look good when you are out in public. Its fucking bothersome that anyone would let themselves look like shit who is a mob connected guy, its just fucking pathetic to be quite honest. Also in regards to mental illness? I for sure am not the one who suffers from that.

Just to let you know AI certainly agrees......

Yes, not having good personal hygiene and not caring about dressing well can be symptoms of mental illness.

Understanding the Connection Between Mental Illness and Personal Hygiene

Mental Health Conditions: Various mental health conditions can significantly impact an individual's motivation and ability to maintain personal hygiene. For example, depression is often characterized by a lack of energy and motivation, which can lead to neglecting basic self-care tasks such as showering, brushing teeth, or wearing clean clothes. Individuals suffering from major depressive disorder may find even simple tasks overwhelming, resulting in poor personal hygiene.

Symptoms of Depression: The symptoms of depression include feelings of hopelessness, fatigue, and apathy. These feelings can manifest in self-neglect, where individuals may not prioritize their hygiene or appearance. Poor personal hygiene might include noticeable body odor, unkempt hair, or wearing the same clothes for several days.

Anxiety Disorders: Anxiety disorders can also contribute to poor hygiene practices. Individuals with social anxiety may avoid grooming or dressing well due to fear of judgment from others. This avoidance behavior can further exacerbate feelings of inadequacy and low self-esteem.

Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD): On the opposite end of the spectrum, OCD can lead to excessive preoccupation with cleanliness or compulsive behaviors related to hygiene. While some individuals may wash excessively due to fears about germs or contamination, others might avoid washing altogether due to overwhelming anxiety associated with these rituals.

Other Mental Health Issues: Conditions like schizophrenia can also affect personal care routines. Symptoms such as apathy and disorganization may lead individuals to neglect their hygiene. Additionally, those with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) might associate bathing with traumatic memories, leading them to avoid it altogether.

Diogenes Syndrome: This condition is characterized by severe self-neglect and poor hygiene often associated with other mental health issues like dementia. Individuals with Diogenes syndrome may live in unsanitary conditions without recognizing the need for cleanliness.

Conclusion

In summary, poor personal hygiene and a lack of concern for one's appearance can indeed be indicators of underlying mental health issues. Recognizing these signs is crucial for seeking appropriate help and support.

Half of the all posts on this board must be of you talking about the way mob guys look, dress, they're not glamorous, they're ugly, they're slobs, they're this and that. You sound like a scorned female.

"Vito you are not the man I fell in love with 10 years ago, look at the way you dress!!!" lol

And if it's not this it's you begging everyone to agree with you that Roy DeMeo molested kids.

I've been on forums and message boards for 15 years and in all this time I've never seen a character as weird as you.

Clothes do make the man well-dressed is symbolizing professionalism and adherence to a strict code of conduct.
Government/LE people also dress great.

Exactly my point. Hold yourself to a higher standard by the way you dress. The way these guys dress is just as bad as somebody who doesn't brush your teeth more than maybe once a month. Its fuckin disgusting and very very disrespectful.

I know in the USA they often wear prison clothes, but in Europe they can wear their own clothes in Naples there are some rules what to wear and what not. Here designer clothes are a status symbol in or outside prison. In the netherlands they could even wear gold inside lol.

1. Do you work in the clothing industry?

2. It's the mob. It's not like these guys are getting the cream of the crop out of society.

3. If I was connected I'd want to be as low key and indescript as possible.

4. I would never be in the mob because I'm not a fucking retard.

I'll explain.....

A well-groomed appearance is associated with competence and authority. To see a mob guy dressed like shit & sloppy like a fuckin hillbilly or white trash trailer park motherfucker really blows my mind to be completely honest as it contradicts everything that they should be. Don't tell me they only dress this way on the way to jail at 3 am after being woken up by the feds. I see what I see and what it is is attire they choose to wear on a daily basis. Its fuckin pathetic to be completely honest with you.

These guys have become fuckin lazy in the way they dress and groom themselves to the point of just looking like a bunch of disgusting slobs. They absolutely lack sophistication or respectability for themselves or others in the way of their appearance. Its sickening and makes me want to throw the fuck up and I pity them! By dressing well and making a good impression, you can easily gain trust within communities and establish legitimate fronts for illegal activities. Throughout history by doing this it enhances your reputation and facilitate interactions with both law enforcement and legitimate businesses. Again dressing like a slob in no way is productive and it only damages the image of you as an individual.

It sure gives me a good laugh at them every day and the justification to roll my eyes in disgust how fucked up they have become. Mob guys my ass, more like a bunch of Hills Have Eyes lookin motherfuckers who run rackets and dress like shit with no fashion sense whatsoever and definitely no class.
