6 arrests in murder of Inter ultra leader Boiocchi
Breakthrough in mafia style hit in October 2022
ROME, 11 April 2025, 14:44

Italian police on Friday made six arrests after a breakthrough in the murder of Vittorio Boiocchi, the historic leader of the Inter Curva Nord killed on October 29, 2022 in front of his home, in Milan, by gunshots from two killers on a motorbike.
The Milanese Flying Squad has executed a precautionary custody order in prison against six people, presumed responsible, in the investigation by prosecutors Paolo Storari and Sara Ombra.
Police said they got key testimony from Andrea Beretta, one of those arrested, the former leader of the Curva Nord already in prison since September 4 on suspicion of killing Antonio Bellocco, a member of the Calabrian 'Ndrangheta mafia family of the same name.

Interesting to see how it will all pan out - with Andrea becoming an informant he will likely lay out exactly how OC is integrated within Italian Ultras.

What were the differences between Vittorio Boiocchi and Andrea Beretta and how were the proceeds of the Curva Nord managed?
Andrea Beretta and Vittorio Boiocchi allegedly had several disagreements over the management of earnings and proceeds from the earnings activities of the Curva Nord. Here is how these were managed.

Yesterday, Friday 11 April, news was given of the arrest of six people for the murder of the former Inter ultra leader Vittorio Boiocchi , killed in Milan in 2022. Investigations revealed that the instigator was Andrea Beretta , already in prison for the murder of Antonio Bellocco , scion of the 'ndrangheta family of the same name.

Investigators discovered that the crime was the result of some disagreements that arose precisely because Boiocchi no longer trusted Beretta's management of the proceeds from Curva Nord activities. He accused him of some shortages in the coffers. But how were the proceeds managed within Curva Nord?

The activities that generated profits were many. Among them: ticket resale (tickets were purchased and often resold at increased prices), merchandising , parking management or other food and drink distribution activities near the stadium. To manage the profits from the sale of products, a non-profit charity was created, to which all commercial activities belong.

The proceeds were then used to cover the costs of all the activities of the Curva Nord.  And it was precisely on how the earnings were managed that the disputes between the two arose. In particular, Vittorio Boiocchi would have noticed a hole in the coffers of the Curva and accused Beretta of having stolen them. The two then, according to Beretta, would have had a clarification - thanks to the intervention of a third person - and had decided to divide the tasks: Beretta managed the merchandising while Boiocchi managed the ticket sales.

A clarification that would have been only apparent. Between the two, the discussions would have continued so much that Beretta would have become the instigator of his murder. Beretta then revealed, after having chosen to collaborate with justice, that he would have decided to organize the crime because Boiocchi would have decided to overlap and exclude him from the management of the Curva Nord merchandising after accusing him of not sharing equally the illicit profits.

And for this very reason, Beretta allegedly turned to Mauro Nepi to hire an assassin who they would have paid 50 thousand euros. The money would have been delivered to another member of the ultras' board, Marco Ferdico who, with his father, would then have organized the ambush. Father and son would have found a van, encrypted cell phones and the murder weapon. Two of those arrested would then have been the material perpetrators and finally a third would have registered the scooter used to go to the crime scene and then reported its theft after the murder.

Nepi and Ferdico two of the suspects had direct contact with Inter coach Simone Inzaghi and midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu.

Calhanoglu: "Contacts mainly with Ferdico"
Eight days after the coach, it was the Turkish player's turn to confirm his contacts with the fans despite " the club having informed me that I could not have any kind of relationship with the fans (...). I did it. Because I am an open person, because that's how I am ". From Marco Ferdico to Maurino Nepi to the scion of the 'ndrangheta Antonio Bellocco , Calhanoglu explains contacts and meetings: " I met Ferdico seven, eight times, as I have already anticipated, at the Dono bar and at the Zenzero restaurant for an aperitif. He usually came alone, but sometimes he came with his father, and once he showed up with a very short boy, he is the same person who is in the newspaper articles, as he is the person who was killed (...) Antonio Bellocco, I must point out that I memorized his name after hearing about the murder, I remember that another boy also came to one of these meetings, who they called Ciak (Matteo Norrito, member of the management and involved in the investigation, ed.) I know he was an ultra (...). I kept in touch mainly with Marco ". He continues: " I had no relationship with Bellocco (...) but it happened that when Marco video called me he was there too and he moved his cell phone framing Bellocco and showing that he was in Bellocco's company. On those occasions there was only an exchange of greetings and he encouraged me to do well in my sporting performances ".

Calhanoglu and the relationship with Ferdico
At the beginning of the report, the Turkish player says: “ My relationship with the ultras began after the Milan-Inter derby of the 22/23 season, in that match I scored from a penalty kick (...) the ultras, I don't know how they got my phone number (...). I think the next day I received a WhatsApp message from a person who signed himself Marco Ferdico, who I didn't know at the time, who wrote to me: we are proud to have you in our club, keep it up, we have to win cups. I replied: thank you very much and Forza Inter.
