Please list all the things that make you a MOB/Gangster fan. -like how many times you've seen this and that MOB movies. -transcripts you know by heart? -how many mob related books you own.which ones? -posters? -rare items? -any other memorabilia stuff? -T-shirts? -stuff you know -anything else in life that makes you a gangster fan Why do you call yourself a mob/gangster fan? (im posting this in general cos it covers all the other sections in this forum...almost/and it will get everyones attention  )

I second that! As for how many time's I've seen The Godfather. God, I don't even know. I'm gonna guess at least 75 times, and that's not even a joke. Goodfellas: probably 10, 12 times. I can't even name all the mob movies I've seen.

The only thing that makes me a "gangster" fan is my collections of DVD's and books. I own The Godfather Trilogy, Goodfellas and Road To Perdition DVD's. I also own The Godfather and The Sicilian books.

As to mob- knowing Godfather novel almost by heart (with the exception of Fontane-Mancini parts) rates?  And a self-hand-made GF wallpaper?

Ive seen the 3 GF films in total about 100 times and still cant get enough.Seen Goodfellas about 30 times,Casino 10,Bronx Tale 5-7 times and scarface at least 5 times.I know alot of transcript from the films. The Book i Own GF Sicillian The Last Don Wiseguy Gangsters and Goodfellas GF Returns The GF Legacy Way of the wiseguy Donnie Brasco Gangs of New York The American Mafia-Rise to Power La Cosa Nostra I own 2 movie posters-Goodfellas,Scarface I just love mob films and anything related.

I own about fifty mob related books, I've probably seen all the Godfather movies a 100 times, I know the dialogue pretty well. I own a 1952 Lucky Luciano Comic book, and here are my collectibles displayed on my wall :  Oh, and I think that most of you know by now that I am pretty well versed when it comes to SCARFACE! Oh, I forgot about my Godfather Dress Shirts, My Scarface Dress Shirt ( right TIS?) and my Godfather Bobbleheads. Footnote : All of the Soprano photos and the Godfather photos have been personally signed by those in the picture. Don Cardi

Mob Movies I’ve Seen:
The Godfather Trilogy: I can’t keep count of how many times I’ve watched these, and sometimes I’ll just watch a few parts, so I’m not sure. This, however, is my top viewing one.
Goodfellas: Only once…
A Bronx Tale: At least twice
Casino: Only part of it; I’d like to watch it all
The Untouchables: Same as Casino; I’ve seen only part
Road To Perdition: Probably about twice
Analyze This & Analyze That: If you want to count these
Transcripts I Know By Heart:
I quote The Godfather quite often, and I recognize similar versions of the famous quotes by people who don’t realize they’re making them. The Trilogy is just about all I know well enough to quote, besides maybe the “How am I funny?” Goodfellas routine.
Mob Related Books I Own:
The Godfather - My parents just got me this for my birthday; I’m reading it when I can, and it’s awesome.
Omerta - I haven’t had a chance to read this one.
The Godfather Returns - Don’t kill me; my dad got it as a gift.
Posters:
None. Terrible, I know. I’ve printed out tons of pictures to hang in my room, put on my binder, or whatever else I can think of, but I’ve never bought a “real” poster.
Rare Items and Memorabilia:
Nothing! Now I just feel pathetic.
T-Shirts:
I have a T-Shirt that is for the Festa Italiana, but it has the Godfather puppet strings logo, its text is in the Godfather design, and it says, “WELCOME TO THE FAMILY.”
Stuff I Know:
More than the average person, obviously, or I wouldn’t call myself a Godfather fan, but the super-smart people here make me feel like a fool!
What Makes Me A Gangster Fan:
- Robert DeNiro
- Al Pacino
- Marlon Brando
- My dad got me into it; it’s a “family business.”
- The mafia is just interesting, and there are some simply amazing movies about it.

I've always been a mob/gangsgter fan. I've seen most popular mob movies. I have a couple Puzo books, and the GF DVD box set. I don't have any posters or momentos however.  I never proclaimed to be an expert, but thought my knowledge was ok.....until I came to the BB, and found out I don't know jack!!!!! :p Hey, but I'm learning. I am sure I know at least 3 times more now than when I first joined, but compared to some of the genuises here, I still got a long way to go. It is fun learning about something that I'm actually interested in. TIS

I've seen the GF trilogy probably about 60-70 times, Goodfellas about 5 times(I just got done watching it) Casino about 5 times, Scarface about 20 times. Plus I've seen about 4-5 other gangster flicks. I don't really know many transcripts(don't really have a good memory, although I do use some quotes from the Godfather trilogy once in awhile. Close to 30 books that I don't even begin to name. One Godfather poster 2 Scarface posters I don't own any rare items, or any other memorabilia. 1 Scarface t-shirt I can't find a decent place to find t-shirts. Anyone know of a place? I thought I knew quite abit until I came here and came across Turnbull. Then I realized I don't know sh*t. But I still know a hell of a lot more than anyone I know personally. I've always wanted to be involved in the gangster life, maybe that makes me a gangster fan.
