The IRA have been releasing a couple of threatening statements over the last while and some of the newspapers are saying their going to war again. They say they have enough weaponry to go for a decade without resupplying.
Any thoughts?

who is fighting who? The IRA fighting the British for a United Ireland. The IRA won independence for the south in 1921 and have been fighting in the North since 1972. Its since split into 3 main groups (Provisional, Real and the Continuity. Theres also the INLA). Theres been a ceasefire for about 10 but its all flared up again now.

It'll be guerilla warfare not attacks with loads of men with guns. As to whether they stand a chance they have been called the most efficient paramilitary organisation ever and have twice before brought the British government to the negotiating table.
By the way a lot of their funding and weaponry comes from Irish-American Fenians.

What side of this "War" are you on? Its hard to say. I cant support some of their actions but when it comes down to it I support their ideas of a united Ireland and I am proud to call myself a republican.
