Does anyone agree with what he's saying? I hope not. Because he's wrong, dead wrong.

The 1st Amendment does not allow you the freedom of speech if it impedes on other constitutional rights, or laws. His opinion does at least one of the two. He can lose his job for what he said, and, if the defense prosecutes (is that the right term?) him the right way, he could lose his job without it violating his constitutional rights. If the families of 9/11 sue on the pretence that his remarks caused emotional and mental harm and turmoil, that required medical attention, not only could he lose his job, he could be sued, and put in jail. Don Cardi said it best, but I'm too lazy to look up the link in the last thread about Turd Churchill.
"Growing up my dad was like 'You have a great last name, Galifianakis. Galifianakis...begins with a gal...and ends with a kiss...' I'm like that's great dad, can we get it changed to 'Galifianafuck' please?" -- Zach Galifianakis

He has every right to say what he would like. I titled this thread "Ward Churchill's opinions" so I didn't have to hear any freedom of speech crap, because this thread isn't about whether or not he has the right to say what he says. But, since Patrick can't say anything negative about this guy because he's also a far-left radical, he just points out he has the freedom of speech to say what he wants. Patrick, what do you think about the man's opinions? Do you understand? Can you for one answer without turning the question into something else? Do you agree with what he says? Any of it? Some of it? Which parts? Is he an asshole?

Patrick, what do you think about the man's opinions? Do you understand? Can you for one answer without turning the question into something else? Do you agree with what he says? Any of it? Some of it? Which parts? Is he an asshole? I already gave my opinion. I said he's an asshole. Do you want me to describe it? This is my only problem with him getting fired: I have yet to read anything that said Churchill taught his class about his article. He called the 9/11 victims 'little Eichmans' in a news article, which I don't if it was or wasn't related to the school. If the guy didn't say this in school, than I don't think he should lose his job. On the other hand, what if he just said it while teaching, but didn't test on it or anything else? What do you mean "Do I agree with what he says?" No, I don't. I certainly hope you aren't saying that you do. That's pretty sick if you ask me, but he is trying to make somewhat of a comparison to the kids who are dying in Iraq I think, right? -Pat
