This board is organized and maintained well (Thanks Geoff and SC!! ) It's not full of clutter and advertisements that jump in your face everytime you log in. I know it's one of the reasons I was attracted to this board in the beginning. Also I like that users aren't allowed 100 pictures and annoying blinky thingies in their signature.

Then I became addicted because I found here a lot of friendly people with a lot of knowledge, sense of humour and humanity. Plus, the chance to practice English in such an amusing way was an extra bonus to me. I believe my English is in fact noticeably improved since November 2004!!! :p Not to mention my GF knowledge!!! Yet, it is also informative (at times), and covers so many different subjects. I only post on a couple other sites, which aren't bad sites, but very slooooow compared to this one. I think the fact that the moderators of this board don't make themselves scarce and pay attention to what goes on, contributes to the success of this site. I belonged to another that turned into a "smut" site, and no moderator to be found. A shame really. If one wants to start a site, it seems they'd be interested in how it is run.
