FORT LAUDERDALE, Florida (AP) -- A 70-year-old woman survived a nine-story fall from a condominium tower Wednesday when she landed on a canopy, officials said.

Gloria Jummati was cleaning her balcony at Coral Ridge Towers when she fell and landed on a first-floor canopy, according to the Fort Lauderdale Fire-Rescue.

Jummati was alert and talking when rescuers arrived.

She was transported to Broward General Medical Center with a broken arm and other non-life-threatening injuries, the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reported.

It is true that she is a liberal, but the real story is that this woman's mind has slowed down a bit due to her age. She asked her nieghbor who had won the Presidential election and when her conservative nieghbor informed her that George Bush had been re-elected President Of The United States, she actually fainted, which cause her to fall.

The neighbors had just found out that she was a sex offender out on parole, so they pushed her off the blacony, but some liberal rushed to her rescue with a canopy and some therapy....
