Thank God you are okay.
How is everything there? 7.9 m is a really bad earthquake!

Quote:
The quake had a preliminary magnitude of 7.9, according to both the U.S. Geological Survey and Chilean officials, making it the world's third strongest temblor since the quake that set off an Asian tsunami in December.

CNN is now reporting that northern California was affected by a major earthquake offshore.

The only info being substantiated is that it took place about an hour ago, roughly 80 miles off the Cali-Oregon border and that it measured 7.0 on the Richter scale.

They've issued a tsunami warning for the entire coast saying that the LA area COULD be affected about 10 p.m. local time.

Any of our Californicators feel it?

Thank God you're ok Angie! I'd be terrified if I had to experience an earthquake! My girlfriend says all the time "Well I'd much rather have an earthquake than a hurricane!" Thing is, you know the hurricane is coming, so you can prepare. Earthquakes just happen. There are no relevant warning systems for earthquakes. Hell, I think the last earthquake we had was 10 years ago or so, and it was like a 1.5 on the Richter scale!

Glad you're ok Ang!
