I think I speak for everybody when Isay this: Fuck Premire Magazine.
Hell, many films on here don't get ENOUGH credit! Look at "An American in Paris" usually looked at as the film that screwed Singin' in the Rain out of an Oscar a year later (Remeer that both films were musicals staring Gene Kelly) which isn't true. It's a tried and true musical, solid as a rock with one of the greatest soundtracks ever and one of the greatest things captured in celuloid: The Whole "American in Paris" ballet.

Here are the following which I've seen and believe shouldn't be on the list: A BEAUTIFUL MIND FIELD OF DREAMS FORREST GUMP GONE WITH THE WIND GOOD WILL HUNTING THE WIZARD OF OZ It's both pathetic and idiotic when these people come in (especially magazines) and decide which pieces are good, and which are crap. I prime example would be "100 Most Awesomly Bad Songs" which was playing on VH1 about a year or so ago. Some of those songs were horrible, and should have been on, but there were many which should have been pulled. Number one on the list was Jefferson Starship's "We Built this City": a classic 80's hit. Another classic which made the list was Billy Joel's "We Didn't Start the Fire" (which is definitely a great song) along with Chicago's "You're the Inspiration". Instead of acknowledging some of these classics in a negative light, "artists" today should be embracing them and taking some fucking notes! The same goes for movies.

Without giving reasons for such choices, such a list is invalid. That would go for a Best list too.
As it is, without any elaboration on such a list, as to why they chose them, it seems controversy for the sake of it, without much thought.
Chicago was never rated all that highly in the first place outside of Oscar ceremonies (I loved it); and I agree with Mystic River, though that isn't as overrated as Million Dollar Baby. Both are trite films full of genre clichés neither Eastwood's direction nor Paul Haggis' script can avoid. Satisfying for those who can handle predictable melodrama. Forrest Gump, along weith The Shawshank Redemption of the same year (1994), always verges on being overrated. Both are films that could easily disappoint when hyped up too much. I need to see the former again soon, to reinforce (or change) this opinion. Fantasia (1940) is a phenomenon.

I agree with: A BEAUTIFUL MIND AMERICAN BEAUTY CHICAGO MONSTER'S BALL I'm not saying they're bad, just overrated. And I have to agree, Roadhouse is an excellent film!
