Well, I began college this fall and already I have one of the most disgusting/awkward stories of my life! I'll try to not go into the details too much, but ill get the point across!

So last night, I was out with some friends and came home and went to bed...So far so good. This was around 2 in the morning or so, and about a hour later I wake up to find my roommate climbing up into his bed. "Alright, he woke me up but its alright.", I'm thinking. Soon after he gets up there I hear a strange noise, like a wrapper. So the first thing that comes to my head is that its a condom. And boy was I right. The roommate and his girlfriend proceeded to....well. All the time while im laying in my bed not being able to sleep with this going on. It was traumatic... The next morning I just got up and left without saying anything...but if it happens again!

So yeah, I've been at college for a week, and already one of the most awkward things that can happen has happened to me.

One time I woke up in my dorm room, about 10 mins before my alarm was to go off. And yeah, I heard the same rustling sound in my roommate's bed and was wondering WTF I was gonna do in 10 mins -- scare the shit out of them w/ my alarm, or, quietly turn it off and risk falling back asleep. Needless to say, there was no way I could fall back asleep, but I did quietly turn off my alarm. Luckily he didn't last long ( ) and I made it to class on time.

No big deal, though. Afterwards, we made an arrangement that if there was a hat or something hanging on the doorknob, then the room is busy...

Just be sure to talk to him about it - because it's your room, too. Come up with some type of arrangement/warning signal. But never hesitate to knock if you simply must get back into your room for something.

But keep your chin up -- next time it could be him wondering how to get in/out of the room...

I had a very chumpy roommate last year too who could not wait to "boink" everytime his drug-pumped girlfriend came over. I asked him to "knock it the fuck off when I was around" and that he could do that when i was not around or with some warning. He did stop but I moved out a month later anyways into a single room. I used to wake up with condoms everywhere (used) and puke in our bathroom. I got so pissed off that everytime he came in the room i got up to confront/scream at him. It was a bad time. But you have to assert yourself now or he will walk all over you. Show him you are not ok with something like what he did. It's a comprmise and you gotta talk with him. I just yelled, ran after him screaming until I left.

The dorms at my college smell like alcohol and puke. I couldn't stand to live in there. Actually, the "honors" dorms are worse than the regular student ones. I don't live in the dorms, and don't plan on it.

Oh well yeah, there will be a discussion involving this. I'm not the type to let people walk all over me. (not saying im agressive or anything) If it happenes again, I think of something completely crazy to do to make it as awkward for them as it can be. Maybe just get up and get a glass of milk, and start a conversation with him, pretending that i dont know shes there. Anyway, I'll survive, we actually get along fine.
