Some thoughts on the DVD from AICN.com - Harry Knowles: "I love how the fanbase for this film has grown, maybe not to quite the mania as SCARFACE, but damn if it isn’t catching on! I’ve been a CARLITO’S WAY fan from day one, and while I may not be picking up this slapped together sequel that’s coming out later this month, this DVD is totally my thing. Just getting to see DePalma talking about filmmaking is a delight. The deleted scenes are very telling – and the transfer is very very nice. Gotta get this!" Moriarty: "This is the third time Universal’s released this title, and it’s not surprising that they’re doing it again a week before they release the prequel movie that they just produced for the direct-to-video market. There are some new features on the disc, and the transfer does appear to be even cleaner than the previous release of the film. If you already own it, you probably won’t rush out to trade up, but if you don’t, now’s a perfect time to pick up one of Brian De Palma’s most criminally underrated films." To those that missed it, my CARLITO'S WAY review for RRA'S VIDEO BIN REVIEW: http://www.gangsterbb.net/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=6;t=008335
