I take it that Ronnie was joking around with this title. Let's all get a big, fat sense of humor. The Doc P.S. God hates people who can't take a joke.
And you liar, teller of tall tales: you trample all the Lord's commandments underfoot, you murder, steal, commit adultery, and afterward break into tears, beat your breast, take down your guitar and turn sin into a song. Shrewd devil, you know very well that God pardons singers no matter what they do, because he can simply die for a song.

It has nothing to do with a sense of humor.
People who believe in God may not find funny certain references to God, even if they are meant in jest.
The teachings of all of the mono-theistic religions are that God loves everyone, and while I undestand and respect the fact that you are a non-believer, as am I, don't be surprised when some people find a "joke" about God hating places or things not to be humorous.
Make all the jokes you want to about God, that's your privilege, but consider respecting the way people feel about "God Jokes" instead of making jokes about them not getting the joke in the first place.
"Difficult....not impossible"

Plaw, I don't want to speak for Ronnie here, but I'm going to go out on a limb and say he implied the joke as a simple jest. As did I with my little P.S.
It's all a joke people, we need to laugh about it. There is a terrible situation down there and we've had nothing but grief for weeks. Humor is really needed right now. You believe in God, fine, but a joke is a joke. They use serious situations and try to build some much needed levity in these situations. God loves people, ok, that's great, but when he hates things, now THAT'S humor! It takes a common situation, "God loving things" and turns it around.
Let's not make a big deal out of this. (Even though I know Plaw or JJ or someone will tell me why I'm wrong and how laughing or not taking into consideration EVERY single person's emotions is a sin of some degree or a social "no-no" in some way.)

It's one thing to joke. Another is to offend. Family Guy specializes in the latter Family Guy is one of the best shows ever. I love these little charades. Specially Hitchock's movie. Anyways, God doesn't hate New Orleans. He dedinitely hated Sodom and Gommorah. And the pre-flood world. But not New Orleans. God only loves. He doesn't hate.
