I think it might be a stupid topic and question to start off, but I just wanna know.
Out of curiosity, where's good to visit throughout the United States?
I have been planning to visit Atlanta.
Is this city fun? Nightlife? Restaurants? Clubs?
Should I take into consideration some precautions?? Any recommmendations??
I am going to travel in March 2006, stop by in America to check iy out then head off to Brazil finally.
Thanks in advance
(:

You want night life? Miami Beach, FL. Particularily South Beach. Thanks DA. Then again i'm looking forward to have some fun there. Since I enjoy trance/house/lounge music, I might be goin to San Francisco. I have a freind there and she's been tellin' me about the raves there. I don't wanna miss it.

I suggest if you're going to go to a major city (i.e. Atlanta, Philadelphia, New York), you make sure you're with someone who knows the area. Getting lost in the city is a bitch, trust me.

If you are coming to the United States you may want to visit the great city of New York. Manhatten has everything that you need right at your fingertips. Great Restaurants, Fantastic Broadway Shows, Beautiful Hotels, Madison Square Garden for Rangers Hockey, Knicks Basketball and various concerts and shows. A pretty easy city to travel in as basically the streets and avenues run by consecutive numbers for the most part. Of course you may want to visit the Empire State Building, The Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island too. All this stuff to do in one fantastic city. The Other great place for non stop fun and excitement is Las Vegas Nevada. IMO these two places are a MUST for anyone coming to visit America. Don Cardi

I would have suggested New Orleans before the hurricane. They are encouraging tourists to return, but lodging is scarce and overpriced, and the city is really not ready to accept visitors yet. Still, the plan a shortened Carnival season this year. They need to direct every dollar towards recovery, not Carnival.
If you are going around Texas, Austin is a very interesting place. Good music scene and clubs, restaurants, and the Hill Country is nearby though it is being overrun by sprawl.
Dallas and Houston are major metropolitan areas with much to offer as well.

Vito, That's wonderful. I can imagine how exciting it is for you. As far as where to go, much depends on what you are interested in seeing/doing. I assume you'll be on the Eastern portion of the States??? Do you prefer big cities or small cities, touristy things or do you want just a layback type vacation? Any particular things and/or sites you want to see? Lord knows there are enough people here from all over that can probably guide you to a degree. Not a stupid question at all. How long will you be in the States? TIS
