One of the coalition partners (the socialist party) has quit the government. Just a bit later, prime minister Sharon said he quit his party, Likoed. It appears he also asked the president to fire the government, and give new elections. Sharon would go alone to the new elections, with a new party. The Sharon thing is not official, but the radio broadcasts of the Israëling army reported this.
