Uh, why don't you post a difficult question... If I exclude all of "Rubber Soul" (their finest album and just about the best pop album ever made), I like "The Night Before" from "Help!" The quintessential Beatles pop tune--Paul at his bounciest. Lots of others rocked more, or were more intellectually satisfying, but "Night Before" is the near-ideal.

I'm not a big Beatles fan and yet I do belive they were great song writers, John & Paul in particular. Their masterpice, "Yesterday" is well-recorded by them and when interpreted by a solo artist in a slower tempo you have a great torch song of unmesurable magnatude. The lyrics are just so powerful...
"Something" is also a great song. Lovely melody and lyrics...

Hey Jude or A Day in the Life
The Doc
And you liar, teller of tall tales: you trample all the Lord's commandments underfoot, you murder, steal, commit adultery, and afterward break into tears, beat your breast, take down your guitar and turn sin into a song. Shrewd devil, you know very well that God pardons singers no matter what they do, because he can simply die for a song.

Theres so many I could choose, I was brought up on the Beatles, but for me my favourite has got to be In My Life - amazing lyrics
...there's people who would pay a lot of money for that information. But then your daughter would lose a father..instead of gaining a husband.
